Message from Pat…
To all our friends and clients, who are such fabulous supporters of Cotswold Riding.
First of all, I would like to wish each and every one of you my thanks and best wishes. I hope you and your families are keeping well and Covid-19 free.
I’m sure you will all agree that this has been a very strange start to the summer. Instead of our usual busy Easter, which consists of lessons, hacks, pub rides, pony days, pony club and camps etc. We, like everyone else, have been in lockdown with the ponies and horses having a very impromptu holiday. They are certainly not complaining!
The weather has been amazing - the horses are out at night and inside in the daytime and vice versa for the ponies. We have kept them ticking over with a bit of lunging, long-reining and stretches. Very happy boys and girls. And any that are liveries or loans have carried on with a bit of light flat work, and grooming. This has worked well with those concerned, having time slots to visit.
We have not had to furlough our staff, as we have needed enough help to look after the horses.
But, like everyone else, we are doing our best to follow the government advice and adhere to the social distancing rules.
We are delighted to say that we have been given the ok to start easing back gradually into teaching again, which we aim to do from this weekend 16th May.
It’s going to be a very gradual process with just private and semi private lessons to start. There will be no beginner lessons for the time being, as this is not possible with social distancing.
There will be information posted on Friday 15th May, explaining what measures will be in place to help make everyone feel safe when visiting.
That’s all for now, we have missed you all and hope we will see you all soon.
Lots of Love,
Pat, Sarah, Sally and the Team x
